Villaret

[ 2016 ]

These Parisian offices, originally very segmented, had to be completely rethought. The approach was to give these new spaces the feel of an apartment by creating larger volumes with various functions. Thus, away from the meeting and work areas, we find a bedroom and its bathroom. The kitchen, open to the dining area, connects these two worlds.

The imposing structure highlighted the low ceiling height. To add more lightness, the entire structure was concealed in favor of a series of storage, desks, and seating necessary for the functioning of each space. It is no longer the walls that define the spaces, but built-in wooden and metal units.

The row of imposing columns and beams running the length of the office was wrapped in stainless steel, effectively uniting the spaces.
