The project is a duplex located on the top floor of a Parisian building. A complete refurbishment requested by the new owners, a family with two children.

The entrance is on the lower level. A full-length balcony faces the bedrooms. This is the children's floor. The existing staircase leads to the living areas on the upper floor. A living room, dining room and kitchen benefit from an unobstructed view thanks to the large floor-to-ceiling windows.
In the background, a large imposing volume encloses the universe of the parents; a dressing room and a bathroom. A small staircase leads to the bedroom on the top floor under the roof.

A sober architectural language enhances the spatial qualities of the place. Natural light is omnipresent and reflects on the light-colored materials ; a carpet covers the floor, the walls like a set of custom-made furniture are covered with waxed concrete.

The living room space is defined by the position of the parental volume. The discreet kitchen hides behind this volume, in the continuity of the dining room. A large bench sits the dining table at the back of the space. A counter located at the entrance of the kitchen offers a variety of uses. The volume containing the master suite is designed as a house within the apartment. Its large facade pierced by two small one-way mirrored windows creates a clear border with the living spaces.
